Thanks very much for sending a Europa model. As an engineer (I used to design jet engines at General Electric), I like to make a hands-on evaluation of products. I have been very pleased with the Europa and its improvements over the earlier models.
As you know, I have used your pellet stoves in my own home for almost six years now. Each time you made a design improvement, you would send it to me to upgrade my stove. I recall the first one had very simple controls and just a shaker plate to remove the ash. Subsequent changes went from a single ash auger to a triple one and then various computer chips for switching from wood pellet to corn. Each change was a significant improvement.
The controls on the new Europa are easy to use and provide a lot of flexibility for burning many types of fuels. I like the way the user can fine tune the feed rate, combustion air and ash removal to accommodate almost any fuel type. I happened to be using pellets which were very short, so I just set the feed rate a little lower to compensate for these pellets. The older models did not provide this option. The blower also seems to run much quieter than the older model I had.
